Getting started

Are the lessons online or in person?

All lessons are online, one-to-one, by video call with a shared whiteboard. Claudia is from Thames Ditton in Surrey and now lives in Milan, and she teaches students anywhere in the UK, including Surrey and London.

Which subjects can you help with?

Claudia teaches English (Language and Literature), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography and Italian, from KS2 up to GCSE. Need another subject or level? Ask us and we'll see what we can do.

What ages and levels do you teach?

Students from primary age (KS2, Years 3 to 6), through KS3 (Years 7 to 9), up to GCSE (Years 10 and 11).

What happens on the free intro call?

It's a relaxed 15 to 20 minute chat. Tell Claudia what you're studying, what feels tricky and what you'd like to achieve, and ask anything you like. She'll suggest how lessons could work for you. There's no obligation to book.

Who will be teaching?

For the subjects listed above, Claudia teaches the lessons herself.

Lessons

How long is a lesson, and what happens in it?

A standard lesson is one hour. We work on whatever the student needs, such as homework, topics that feel tricky, revision or exam practice, and we use a shared whiteboard to write and draw together.

What do I need for a lesson?

A laptop or computer, a good internet connection, a camera and microphone, and some pen and paper. Have your school notes or latest homework to hand too, if you have them.

Can you help with revision, mocks and exams?

Yes. Lessons can focus on revision, practice questions, mocks and exam technique, as well as the topics themselves. We can't promise a particular grade, but we'll work hard to help students build skills and confidence.

Will I get updates on progress?

Yes. Claudia shares regular updates on how things are going, and you'll get a monthly summary of your lessons by email. Parents of younger students are very welcome to stay in the loop.

Prices and booking

How much does it cost?

A single lesson is £40 an hour. A 10-hour pack is £36 an hour, which is £360 paid upfront and saves £40 compared with 10 single lessons. The intro call is free.

How does the 10-hour pack work?

You pay £360 upfront for 10 one-hour lessons. The hours go into your account and are valid for 5 months, and you book lessons when they suit you within that time.

How do I book and pay?

Start with a free intro call. When you're ready, create an account to request lessons or your pack, and Claudia will send you the payment details. We never take card details on this website.

What if I need to cancel or move a lesson?

With at least 24 hours' notice you can cancel or move a lesson for free. With less notice, or if a lesson is missed, it may count as a lesson taken. If something unexpected happens, just let us know as soon as you can.

Parents, safety and data

Can a parent be there?

Yes. Parents and guardians are welcome on the intro call, and welcome to be nearby during lessons. If the student is under 18, we ask for a parent or guardian's contact details when you sign up.

How do you look after my child's data?

We only collect what we need to run lessons and keep you informed, we keep it secure and we never sell it. Our Privacy Notice explains exactly what we hold and why. For students under 18 we ask for a parent or guardian's contact details.

Do you guarantee results?

No tutor can honestly promise a particular grade, and we won't either. What we do promise is friendly, focused, one-to-one lessons built around the student, to help them build on their abilities and feel confident on exam day.

Still have a question?

Send Claudia a message and she'll get back to you. Or book a free intro call and ask away.
