How it works

How it works

Four simple steps from "hello" to confident. No jargon, no pressure.

Four easy steps.

  1. Free intro call

Book a free 15 to 20 minute call. Tell Claudia which subject you're working on, which year you're in, where it feels tricky and what you'd like to achieve. Ask anything you like. There's no obligation to go ahead.

  2. Your plan

Claudia suggests a plan built around the student: what to focus on, how often to meet, and any key dates such as mocks or exams. She'll also help you choose between single lessons and the pack.

  3. Live lessons

One-to-one lessons by video call, with a shared whiteboard to write, draw and work things out together. Lessons are relaxed and active: the student does plenty of the thinking, with Claudia guiding.

  4. Progress updates

Regular updates let students and parents see how things are going and what's next. You'll also get a monthly summary of your lessons by email.

Lessons

What a lesson feels like

Friendly, focused and a little bit fun. A typical lesson might start with a quick catch-up, move on to the topic or homework you're working on, and finish with a few practice questions to check it has stuck. We'll use the shared whiteboard to draw diagrams, work through problems and plan essays together.

Not sure about something? Say so. Questions and mistakes are what lessons are for.

Questions? Brilliant.

What you need

Not much!

  • A laptop or computer

A tablet can work too, but a laptop makes the shared whiteboard easier to use.

  • A good internet connection

Wi-Fi is perfect. Try a quick check before your first lesson.

  • Camera and microphone

Built-in ones are fine. Headphones help you hear clearly.

  • Pen and paper

    For notes, workings and sketches.

  • Your school work

Notes, textbooks, homework or your latest test, if you have them.

You'll get your lesson details by email and in your account.

Booking and changing lessons

After your intro call you can create a free account to request lessons and see everything in one place: upcoming lessons, your hours and your details.

  • Book

Request a lesson time that suits you. Claudia confirms it and you'll get an email.

  • Change

Need to move a lesson? Do it from your account, from the link in your emails, or just message Claudia.

  • Cancel

Free with at least 24 hours' notice.

Families

For parents and guardians

Parents are welcome on the intro call, and welcome to be nearby during lessons. If the student is under 18, we need a parent or guardian's contact details when you sign up, and a parent or guardian is welcome to set up the account.
