Online History tutoring for KS2, KS3 and GCSE
Stories, sources and essays that make sense.
One-to-one, live online with a shared whiteboard, and built around what you're studying at school. Taught by Claudia, from KS2 up to GCSE.
- KS2 · Years 3 to 6
- KS3 · Years 7 to 9
- GCSE · Years 10 and 11
- KS2: topics from British and world history, building a sense of chronology and "what happened and why".
- KS3: a sweep from the medieval world to the modern era, with a focus on cause and consequence, change and continuity, and different interpretations of the past.
- GCSE: the periods and topics your school is studying, plus the skills behind them: source questions, interpretations, "how far do you agree" essays, and building a clear argument.
Claudia's degree is in Ancient History, so sources and arguments are home turf.
- Remember the key dates and events without cramming
- Write clear, well-argued essays
- Get to grips with source and interpretation questions
- Link causes and consequences into one confident answer
What a lesson might look like
We take a source question and break it into steps: what does the source say, what can you work out from it, and how do you back it up? Then we build a timeline on the whiteboard to place it in context, and the student writes their own answer for feedback.
An example to show the flavour of a lesson. Every lesson is shaped around the student.
Every source has a story.
You've got this.
